Product Design and Design of the User Interface for the Aspirating Smoke Detector SecuriRAS ASD 535

With the new model generation SecuriRAS ASD 535, Securiton has reached the global leadership position. Reference systems are installed, for example, in the nuclear research center CERN in Geneva. They also find use in frozen storage, industrial halls, museums and airports.

For us as designers the task was to develop an adequate form for the electronics and the two suction chambers and to integrate the user interface in a meaningful way. A safe and cost-effective production technology was also an important aspect. Due to the very reduced, clear design language, the new aspirating smoke detector can easily be integrated into modern industrial buildings.
